Tall Ships New London
Our Tall Ships cruises for 2012 have concluded. Thank you to all who joined us on these beautiful sails, and we hope to see you again in 2013.
July 7 – July 9, 2012 New London/Sailfest Sails
Sail aboard New Horizons, 50 ton, 60’, 47 passenger US Coast Guard Certified Tortola Motor Sailer for a spectacular up-close experience of the the international ships in New London Harbor from July 7-9 ,
2012 to launch the celebration of the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 and our National Anthem. The international
tall ships along with active USCG ships will be on display in New London and will serve as the centerpiece for
the commemoration festivities.
Schedule/Description of Sails we will be offering while in New London:
New London Tall Ship Viewing Sails
July 7-9 – 10am, 12noon, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm, 8pm
Groupons welcome.
Join us for a relaxing experience as we sail through out the harbor to see the Tall Ships and Military vessels visiting for OpSail 2012 CT. You’ll experience many of the following on your sail:
- Class A Tall ships, from both the US and Foreign Navies
- Military vessels from the United States Coast Guard
Be part of the “Parade of Sail” join New Horizons as we
sail into New London Harbor
July 7 – 8am
Meet in Niantic Harbor
Groupons accepted with upgrade
Join us for a once in a lifetime experience, be part of the Parade into New London Harbor.
New Horizons is scheduled to be the fourth vessel in the Parade.
A boxed lunch and complimentary drinks are included during your 2 1/2 hour sail
Fireworks and Tall Ships Sail
July 7 – 8pm
Groupons accepted with upgrade.
Get the best seats for the dazzling fireworks display and Tall Ship
viewing. We will sail throughout the harbor viewing the ships returning for the
fireworks.
A boxed lite dinner and complimentary drinks are included.
Seacoast Sailing/New Horizons Locations and Instructions
- Reservations will only be held up to 10 minutes before sail time, so please be sure to arrive at least 20 minutes early.
- Be prepared to sail rain or shine.
- Provisioned FOOD AND BEVERAGES available on board — CASH only please.
- Feel free to BYOB – one small soft cooler.
- All sails include complimentary iced tea, lemonade, water and snacks
- Boat name: New Horizons – Dark blue hull.

Parking
Water Street Parking Garage — Eugene O’Neil Drive left onto Atlantic Street to entrance of garage. All Day $20 Sat, $15 Sun. Walk out of garage onto Water Street, turn right, cross over tracks at Amtrak building toward water. Docks will be in front of you, New Horizons will be on floating docks to left of pier.
New Horizons will be docked at City Pier.
